Google stated that in addition to abortion clinic visits, it listed counseling centers, fertility centres, addiction treatment facilities and weight loss clinics as additional destinations that will be removed form users’ location histories.
Users have always had the option to edit their location histories on their own, but Google will proactively do it for them as an added level of protection.
According to the outlet Google receives thousands of government requests for digital records each year from governments as part of misconduct investigations.
According to the company, it opposes search warrants and any other requests that appear excessively broad or baseless.
