Gwen Stefani gives fans a glimpse into the moment her husband Blake Shelton asked No Doubt lead to marry him. In an Instagram post, Stefani revealed the intimate details of their engagement one year after Shelton proposed. On the “Holla Back Girl,” The anniversary of her engagement, the singer shared a video to 12.5 million of her followers.
“Look, we just got engaged!” Stefani is happy in the clip before Shelton kisses her. Kool & the Gang’s “Celebration” is visible in the background of this video. Stefani also uploaded a photo that shows what appears to be the moment when the country singer proposed. Stefani, in shock, is laying on Shelton’s back in an Oklahoma church.
Kingston, Stefani’s oldest son, is seen in the corner smiling at the camera. “One year ago today?! October 17th, 2020, we got engaged!” She captioned the part of her post, adding, “@blakeshelton, I love you!” She previously shared one photo of her engagement, holding her left hand out to show the enormous ring. “@blakeshelton, yes, please!” She captioned it at the time.
The couple, who have been together for many years, were married in an intimate ceremony on the Fourth of- July weekend. The ceremony was held in the chapel at their ranch. Stefani married Shelton. She divorced Gavin Rossdale in 2016. Rossdale and Stefani got married in 2002. Together they have three sons, Kingston, 15, Zuma 13, and Apollo 7. Rossdale stated that it wasn’t easy to divorce his wife. Country Music Nation noted that he once said: “Apart from death, I think divorce is one of the hardest, most painful things to go through.”
Shelton was married twice before. Shelton wed Kaynette Wils the first time. The marriage lasted from 2003 to 2006. From 2011 to 2015, he was then married to Miranda Lambert, a fellow country star. Shelton is finding that the charm is back for the third time.
