Sunday’s statement by President Joe Biden that he was “feeling great,”After being cleared by White House doctors, I was allowed to return to isolation for COVID-19.
He took a moment to share the news, before boarding Marine One to head to his Rehoboth Beach beach house, Delaware.
On July 21, 79-year old Biden tested positive for coronavirus. He took Paxlovid, an antiviral drug. Biden was negative for four days consecutively before being isolated and coming back positive on July 30, in what doctors termed a rebound. Biden has had his vaccinations and boosters and has experienced mild symptoms like a runny nose, cough, and fatigue.
Biden stayed in isolation for five consecutive days following the CDC guidelines. After testing negative for two consecutive days, White House Dr. Kevin O’Connor cleared the commander-in-chief to resume his normal traveling.
Biden and Jill Biden, the first lady, plan to travel to Kentucky this week to see the flood victims.
